One Big Thing

I can get so wrapped up in day-to-day activities that long-term goals and life priorities can get put on the back burner. I am great at keeping to do list’s put priorities often shift, and things get put off for way longer than they need to. As quick as a flash, a few months have gone by, and I can end up feeling tired and burnt out with not a huge amount to show for my efforts, except for a worn track on the treadmill. Sound familiar?
I have found a solution in the form of an App that has really helped me to keep focus both on my well-being and on my long-term goals. One Big Thing is a simple application that supports you in keeping focus daily. Through manually entering the One Big Thing you need to do today, the task is kept in focus and invariably completed.

The App also allows you to enter three small things. Here I choose to enter one small task that will support my well-being, for example, a healthy lunch or Yoga. I also often enter one task that ensures I stay connected, be it with friends or the people I work with. At the end of the day, when I hit done on each task, I get a great sense of achievement from the sense of balance completing the varied tasks brings. I still haven’t gotten to the stage of completing other things I might do today, but that’s ok, I am happy with the current progress I made.
Experiment with the FREE version. I hope you find it as helpful as I have. Please do leave a comment if you found the App to be useful or otherwise.
If you need something more than this to keep you accountable, I strongly recommend getting a coach. I know where to find a good one 😉
