Patricia Tiernan is the Founder of Leap Career Coaching Ltd and one of Ireland’s most respected Career Coaches, with over 15 years’ experience in global HR, recruitment, and career development.

Before founding Leap Coaching, Patricia’s career highlights include project managing the recruitment of several new departments at Apple’s EMEA headquarters to support the launch of the first iPhone into the European market, as their EMEA Talent Acquisition Specialist. She also worked as an HR Executive for director Peter Jackson’s award-winning post-production film company, Park Road Post, in New Zealand. Roles like these gave Patricia a unique insight into how major international companies hire, develop, and support their people and the challenges professionals face at every career stage.

Through her work, she noticed a pattern: many talented people were struggling in their careers for three main reasons:

1️⃣ They felt unfulfilled in their current career and unsure what path would truly suit them.
2️⃣ They knew the job they wanted but were struggling to secure it.
3️⃣ They were struggling to overcome a challenge at work, leaving them feeling burnt out, overlooked, disheartened, or stuck.

Driven to help professionals thrive in fulfilling careers that are sustainable, Patricia trained as a coach and founded Leap Career Coaching Ltd (previously Leap Coaching) in 2012. She is now a Master Accredited Coach with the Association for Coaching, holding a Master’s in Personal and Management Coaching and a Degree in Business Information Systems from University College Cork.

Patricia’s coaching is grounded in one belief: a fulfilling career is possible. Her approach is warm, practical, and results-focused. She has coached clients at all levels, from entry to senior level, across roles and sectors, including multinationals, the public service, non-profits, third-level education, creative industries, pharma, and technology. She also frequently supports people returning to Ireland, seeking work here for the first time, or re-entering the job market after a career break.

Patricia works with clients across Ireland (including Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Belfast) and internationally via Zoom, and also meets clients in person at her home office in West Cork.

Patricia’s goal is always the same: to support professionals at all career stages in the public and private sectors, to have fulfilling careers. Whether that’s helping people to pinpoint their ideal jobs, navigate career challenges, or hone their communication skills, or successfully transition back into the job market, she supports people to navigate pivotal career points.
